All Butterfly collection products are highly customizable in several different finishes. Chairs and sofas can be upholstered in any fabrics or in real leather. You can choose from our wide range of upholstery materials.
The classic living room is a perfect combination of Italian interior design and functionality. The Kalo sofa available as 3 seater and 2 seater is complemented by an exclusive matching armchair. On request Kalo sofa is also available as a sofa bed.
The Sofa bed is highly customizable in finishes and sizes. Moreover, it can be upholstered with deep buttons on the back rest to become even more unique and exclusive.
Another key feature of this elegant collection of classic furniture made in Italy is the bedroom furniture. The Kalo bed with the hand tufted headboard and the hand carved crown is a condensate of our expert craftsmen abilities. Conceived for a 180x200 mattress the Kalo classic italian bed can be bespoked to specific measurements to fit any mattress size.
To complete this collection of classic furniture we have designed an exclusive classic writing desk in Cherry wood which can be combined with an elegant open bookcase.

What are the materials most used in this collection?
The kind of wood used for Butterfly collection varies depending on the articles. On the cabinets we use Linden wood for the structure, the curved panels are in Poplar plywood with real Cherry wood veneer.
The structure of the chairs is in solid Beech wood. Due to its hardness and durability, beech wood is ideal for the construction of chairs. Carved element, as the hand carved crown of the Kalo bed and the feet of the Kalo sofa, are in Linden wood. Linden wood is a semi-hard wood ideal to make hand carved elements.

Can classic Italian furniture be matched with modern furniture?
Yes, classic Italian furniture can be perfectly matched and combined with modern furniture. If you have chosen to furnish a room in modern style you can add one or two contrasting classic italian furniture pieces.
However, in doing this you must follow a color palette to make sure colors will match with each other. You certainly don’t want a crowded and confused room look. If you are unsure we advise you to get a designer to assist you step by step in the product selection.
What customization options are there?
All items on Butterfly collection are highly customizable in several different finishes which can be selected from those available.
We have a wide range of upholstery including fabrics, real italian leathers and faux leathers. You can choose the upholstery you prefer for all our sofas, dining chairs and armchairs.
Tables and beds on request can be bespoked to special sizes to fulfill your specific furnishing requirements.
Are classic chairs handmade?
Most of our classic Italian chairs are handmade.
There are different phases in the production of a classic italian chair. The first phase is the construction of the wood frame, in this first stage there is a wide use of specialized machinery.
The use of specialized vacuum dry kilns allow us to dry wood elements to the required level in a limited period of time.
With advanced C.N.C. machinery we can mill to perfection wood elements of any shape and size.
The polishing of the frame - which is all carried out by hand - achieves astonishing distress effects to make a chair look like a perfect vintage chair.
Hi gloss finishes, decoration in gold and silver leaf and even hand painted decorations are typical of the classic chair in its variety of styles.
The last phase of the chair making is the upholstery.
The structure of the chair, depending on the model, is fitted with metal springs and elastic belts and padded with foam of different densities.
